Our New Year has brought change with the AZ Syringo Chiari Support Group as we move our meetings to a new location. After many years of gathering at the Outpatient Rehab Building at 114 W. Thomas Rd. , we are moving to St. Joseph’s Hospital main building, located at 350 W. Thomas Rd. Phoenix, AZ. 85013. The 6th Ave Parking garage is easy accessible from 5th Ave. as is valet parking and our meeting room can also be reached from the 3rd Ave. parking garage. We have been assigned Dining Room A, which is located across from the cafeteria.
We will continue to meet using the same schedule of January, April, July and October but will move to a Saturday, same time : 11:00 am -1:00 pm, the third Saturday of that month unless that falls on a holiday weekend. We will then meet the Saturday before, announcing all changes on Facebook and our other media. It has been necessary to change our April plans to April 12th, meeting in the Mercy Conference Room, which , again, we will remind members in March, due to the upcoming Easter holiday weekend.
We are grateful to St. Joseph’s Hospital for scheduling our Group to meet within their facility as many of our members have been or are currently a patient of the hospital and are familiar with the campus and surrounding area. We have attached a map of the hospital for your reference as some members live outside the Valley and travel a distance to attend, making a Saturday meeting ideal.
Our first meeting will include viewing a webinar presented by the Mayfield Chiari Center in Cincinnati. The topic of this meeting scheduled for 1-18-2014, is “DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF CHIARI” by Robert Bohinski,MD,PhD Neurosurgeon, Mayfield Chiari Center http://www.mayfieldchiaricenter.com/board.php
If you are unable to attend our meeting, and wish to view the webinar, you must register in advance. Contact us with any questions or comments and we do hope you attend our Support hospital-mapGroup meeting on Saturday, January 18, @ 11:00 am. Our Group email address is: email@example.com
A safe, healthy, and happy new year to all,
